    About

Kayla started dancing at the age of 6 and continued to follow her passion for movement ever since. She has been a dance teacher and choreographer  for the past 20 years. Having dabbled in Pilates throughout her years as a dancer,  it wasn’t until later on that she sought out Pilates to heal and restore her own body from injuries that plagued her for years. It did not take long to realize the profound benefits of the work, as it transformed her own body. The discipline, precise and mindful movement technique of the Pilates Method struck a chord with her and she found a deep appreciation for the connection that Pilates creates between the art of body movement and the mind. Kayla decided to pursue her new found passion and  6 years ago she completed her training and became a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher with the Pilates Method Alliance. Since then she has been teaching pilates in various studios and physiotherapy clinics, while continuing to teach dance.

Her extensive  background as a dancer, dance educator, and athlete, has helped Kayla bring a wealth of knowledge to her clients. Her love of movement extends into her teaching, helping clients to create their own unique relationship with their body as they learn to understand movement and how it applies to their particular needs.  She will educate you on body awareness while inspiring and empowering you with the tools to move your body more mindfully, with ease, efficiency and in balance so that you can do what you do.... BETTER!!!!
